Steps:

1. Set up Spotify and Musixmatch Apps on Laptop or PC.
2. Connect PC or Laptop to Mixer / Karaoke Machine.
3. Connect PC or Laptop to TV Screen ( Optional).

Equipment:

1. PC or Laptop.
2. Spotify App on Desktop.
3. Mics.
4. Speakers (Built-in or External Speaker).
5. Karaoke Machine / Mixer.
6. Musixmatch App.

How to Karaoke on Spotify:

1. Set up Spotify & Musixmatch Apps on Laptop or PC

Step 1

The Musixmatch App allows you to view the song lyrics on your screen and is compatible with Spotify so that you can connect both Apps together.

Step 2

Create an account at Musixmatch and follow the steps.

Step 3

When you have created your account go back to Musixmatch scroll to the bottom of the page, click on Apps and download to your desktop.

Step 4

Follow the steps to set the App up on your desktop.

Step 5

Once you sign in you will be prompted to connect to Spotify, follow the steps and you are ready to go.

Step 6

When you want to play a song and see the lyrics, have both Apps.. Spotify & Musixmatch on Desktop.

Step 7

On Spotify press play on any song and have Musixmatch open on your screen. You will then see the lyrics synchronized to the music.

2. Connect PC or Laptop to Mixer / Karaoke Machine

If you want to use a karaoke machine then it is simply a case of following the instructions it came with. Usually you connect the mics to your karaoke machine via Bluetooth or Aux cable and connect the machine to your Laptop or PC.

If your karaoke machine does not have the connections previously mentioned then you can try a USB, RCA connection or even an Adaptor.

Without a Karaoke Machine

If you don’t have a karaoke machine then you will need a mixer which combines the sound of your mic and instrumental source. The Mixer is connected to a speaker to play the sound:

Step 1

Connect Mic to Mixer via Bluetooth, XLR or USB connections.

Step 2

Connect Speaker to Mixer, usually wireless or needs XLR cables.

Step 3

Connect Mixer to PC or Laptop via Bluetooth, RCA or USB connection.

3. Connect PC or Laptop to TV Screen

If you prefer to see lyrics displayed on your TV screen, use a HDMI cable that connects to the back of the TV.
